Solid Waste Billing
The city bills property owners a bi-monthly solid waste fee for curbside pickup.
These fees are based upon the following options:

*Plan E is reserved for residents of townhouses and dwellings that the City and contractor providing the collection service have determined that containers cannot be serviced.
Plan E and other residents needing additional capacity may purchase 30 gallon city garbage bags which are available for $1.75 per bag and are available in packs of 5 at local stores such as Food Lion, Farm Fresh, and 7-11.
Solid waste charges are applied on the first day of the bi-monthly assessment and payment is due in the Treasurer's Office by the due date stated on the bill. The first days of the bi-monthly assessment are January 1, March 1, May 1, July 1, September 1, and November 1. Utility bills are mailed out during the first week of the bi-monthly assessment.
