Poquoson Volunteer Rescue Squad
AMBULANCE FUND DRIVE
It's that time of year again and Poquoson Volunteer Rescue Squad is kicking off our Ambulance Fund Drive and we need your help! We are in the process of raising money to purchase a new Ambulance to better serve the community. Currently we have two Ambulances which are between 14-18 years old. As the cost of emergency equipment continues to rise, so does our need for your support.
In 2009, the City of Poquoson implemented a fee for service program, called Revenue Recovery. This program does not affect the response or treatment you receive when you dial 911 and no payment is required at the time of service. Poquoson Volunteer Rescue Squad does not receive any of the funds generated by this program, which goes into the city general fund.
This is our annual fund drive and your opportunity to help out. All donations will help our organization to continue providing these important services at the highest standards.
The Rescue Squad receives 100% of your donation. Send more or less, but please send something.
REMEMBER! Our services are NOT "TAX BASE" supported. Therefore, we rely heavily on donations to survive. Our volunteers are proud of the services we provide to the people of Poquoson, and while we hope you and your family never have to call on us, we are here if you need us.
Thank you in advance for your support!
