Library Administrative Secretary

Performs skilledclerical and secretarial duties and oversees the general maintenance needs of the library facility. Prepares and processes orders for all library materials, processes purchase orders and vouchers, and balances accounts. Works at front desk and other related work as required. Some evening and weekend hours. Annual salary: $24,117 per year with City benefits. Utility Worker

 Starting Salary: $24,117 or higher depending upon experience and qualifications.

Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in all types of weather conditions. Position is to assist in maintaining and repairing underground sewer lines and sewer lift stations. Must have a Virginia Commercial Class A Driver’s License. 2-4 years trade experience preferred. Excellent fringe benefits. A City of Poquoson application is required and will be accepted until the position is filled.

Drug Free Work Place–The City of Poquoson is committed to maintaining a drug free work place. All job applicants are subject to pre-employment controlled substances testing and to other controlled substances and alcohol testing as specified by City policy. All safety sensitive and employees with commercial driver’s licenses are subject to random alcohol and controlled substances testing.

Driving Record Requirement–During the interview process, applicants for jobs that require a driver’s license will be required to submit their current official driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
