HRSD Billing Change
The City has been notified by HRSD that in a continuous effort to control their costs, they have outsourced the printing and mailing of bills as well as the receipt and processing of payments. The computer software program that calculates the actual charges that appear on each bill has not been changed. HRSD manages over 450,000 accounts. Despite their best efforts a few errors occur in each billing cycle. These errors impact a very small number of accounts and are typically quickly resolved through customer service representatives. Transitioning to a third party for bill printing and mailing will not increase the number of errors that occur in each billing cycle, however the bill will look different. Payments will now be mailed to Charlotte, North Carolina.
