Make a simple jumper dress.

Get the basics of sewing from cutting a pattern to  hemming,  and seams using both machine and hand work. Each participant should bring an iron and sharp sewing scissors as well as a jumper pattern  and material to class. Contact instructor for basic guidance on choosing a pattern. On First Class, bring nothing. Instructor will get you started. All ages  are encouraged.   For kids ages 9 and Up.   Adults Welcome.

Beginner’s Sewing Class

Mind Your Manners Program

Create a living terrarium  and learn about building your own special ecosystem. Includes all plants and supplies to create this unique garden.  Decorative materials include rocks, marbles, ladybugs and more. Put together a living garden in a terrarium container. Youth age 7-12.

Date: June 29, 2010, Deadline June 24    Time: 1pm

Children’s Gardening Class– Build A Terrarium

Now is the time to let your imagination take the lead! Our best loved camp is back and this year we're adding your favorite gaming characters to our drawing list, as well as classic characters from the comics and the animated heroes of film & TV. We will have brand new projects so returning campers are always drawing something new.

Create new cartoon characters, draw action, draw expressions, draw moods, and put together a cartoon strip.

Fee: $47  Program #136 Camp Date: Monday thru Thursday August 23-26 Times: 6:30-8pm  Location:  Municipal Building MATERIALS:  All participants will need to supply some simple materials. Ask for a list at registration.

Camp Minimum of 5; 12 Maximum.

 

3-2-1 Blast Off Rocketry

 Easter Egg Decorating

 

Do you ever want to jump out of your seat and dance when a show tune like New York New York comes on the radio? This class will include performing basics so you can have the  fun of singing, dancing and performing for a production.    For Youth: Grades 3-7

Cost is $45 per student Program #119

Limited to 10 students. Minimum of 7 students.

Class Time: 4:30-5:30pm

Dates: March  15, 22,29 & April  12, 19, 26

 Musical Theatre Class

Build and launch your own rocket. Let the astronaut in you come out to take this class to construct you own rocket. You will even stand at the controls to launch it as well. Learn how the principles of flight make your rocket soar to the sky.  Class includes  instructions, and supplies for blast-off.

Cost: $16 Program #149

Class meets 2 times from 1:00-3:00pm

Dates:   March 6 and March 13, 2010

Ages: 7 and Up  Location:  Municipal Building;

Deadline: Feb 26. Must attend both sessions

 as we construct, and launch.

Super Hero Cartoon Camp Ages 8-13

      Keep Your Cool This Summer

                        Learn the tactics to socialize and dine with the cool crowd. This  fun interactive manners program will feature a six course meal at the Briar Patch in Poquoson. Your manners and social skills will go from ordinary to extraordinary.
