Field Hockey Camp July 26-30, 2010 5:30-8:30PM Poquoson TURF FIELD Session 1: Rising 8th thru 12th Grade Cost: $150, Non-residents $170 Program #117S Time: 5:30-8:30pm Session 2: 3rd thru 7th Grade Cost: $95, Non-residents $110 Program # 117 Time: 8:30-10:30AM Camp Director: Tess Ellis, Former US Field Hockey Association Under-21 National Coach, she works as a volunteer with the William & Mary Field Hockey Program, and Directs Colonial Field Hockey Club. Tess has coached at all levels from college to club for both youth & adults in both the U.S. & her native Australia. Camillia Hill will serve as Goalie Coach. She is currently keeper for William & Mary Field Hockey. Specific goalie drills and skill development will be part of instruction. Other skilled college players will also help with instruction for group drills and skill development. Session 1 is open to rising 8th thru 12th graders. Players interested in JV & Varsity level play at the High School level are highly encouraged to attend. Deadline to register for either session: July 16, 2010. Do not delay in signing up for this awesome instructional camp! We will strive to meet a 1:8 instructor to camper ratio and having your registration in early helps us get the best instructors booked early for your camp experience.

July 26-30 Session II Boys and Girls Grades 5 thru 10th grade 9-12noon Cost: $95.00 Program #120 Location: Poquoson Middle School Gym Camp will focus on basic skills and drills for appropriate level of play. Camp includes fun games, shooting techniques, contests, and t-shirt. Space is limited for each session. Don’t wait to register. No registration taken on the first day of camp. You must pre-register. All registration is first come first serve.

July 12-16 Ages 8-10 1:30-3:30pm Program #125A Ages 11-14 4-6pm Program #126A August 16-20 Ages 8-10 1:30-3:30pm Program #125B Ages 11-14 4-6pm Program #126B Learn the basic moves to fence. Proper body position, holding your foil, scoring points on your opponent, and on our last day we’ll fence with an in-camp tournament. Class includes use of all necessary equipment. Each participant will receive a fencing glove fitted for their size. Cost is $87. No additional equipment required. Location: Municipal Building. Wear comfortable clothing easy for movement. No sandals or boots allowed, tennis shoes required. Spaces are limited to 8 children per session. Instructor: Vicki Hanes |

Majors/Minors Baseball Camp July 26-29, 2010 Ages 7-12* Monday thru Thursday (Friday rain-make up) *If you will be playing Juniors Baseball in the fall of 2010 you should attend Program #124A(see below) Times: 9am-12noon *Note Due to Family Emergency camp will meet on Tuesday thru Friday during the week.
Location: Park Street Little League Complex Cost $75.00 Program # 124B Director: Justin Hollingsworth and Staff Cost $75.00 Program # 124B Focus on the fundamentals for player development as we’ll devote each day to improving your game. Work on hitting technique, bunting, base running for speed and agility and even proper sliding technique. Become a better player within the position you play as you’ll concentrate on throwing and overall game situations. Deadline to register is July 20. Spots limited, register early. .

August 2-5, 2010 M-Th (Friday for make-up) Co-Ed Ages: 8-17 Time: 7:45-10:15am (Monday- Wednesday) Note: Thursday day of camp is longer until 11:30am Cost: $140 Program #122 Deadline to sign up is July 27, 2010. Spots fill fast, & space is limited. Bring your own clubs. Instruction will include working on teeing off, the short game, & basic fundamentals. If you need clubs please indicate on registration form. Limited supply available. Camp minimum is 8, Max is 12. Meet the PPR van each morning during camp to travel to the course at Kiln Creek. Van leaves at 7:40am & returns by 10:15 at the Municipal Building. Cost includes instruction and van transportation to and from the course. All participants should bring water. Appropriate golf attire is required. |
