Spray Painting

(Beginners ) age 12+ (min 4, max 8)

You will be amazed at this new art form! It’s fast and easy. Students will complete several paintings that are suitable for framing.

Spray paint art (also called Aerosolgrafia) is an art form using spray paint, traditionally on poster board, but can be painted on any non porous surface. This is a unique form of art that is generally performed on the streets in a large metropolitan city creating surreal landscapes,  planets, comets, pyramids, cities, nature scenes as well as simple one-colored backgrounds, or even multi-colored backgrounds.

Spray Paint artists use spray paint cans to paint beautiful paintings by manipulating the paint on the poster board while it is still wet. Students will employ a variety of tools like sponges, cylinders, brushes, and stencils to add texture and personality to their art. NOTE: The class will be held outside at the side parking-lot of the Parks and Rec. building.

MATERIALS:  All materials and equipment will be provided, just show-up ready to paint.

 (Note: wear old clothes.)
