Odd Road Community Center: Reservations for Private Users to hold events up to 10 people at the Odd Road Community Center. Please call 868-3580 for more information. Civic and Community Groups may resume meeting at the Odd Road Community Center. Group meetings and reservations  may have up to 60 people in attendance.  Please call 868-3580 to complete reservations requests. 

Picnic Shelters: Reservations for use of Picnic Shelters for resident use - limit of up to 50 people at any gathering.   

Playgrounds are open. Please remember to use hand sanitizer and keep your distance from others to limit the spread of germs.

SUMMER 2021 Here's The Line Up and Information

1. There will be Summer Sailing Camps this summer- Registration and Information will be posted here for residents to register starting June 1. Non-residents may begin registration starting June 8,  2021. Camps weeks available for ages 8 and Up. Camp Dates and Register Here.

3.  Barracuda Swim Team:

Registration is now underway for the Poquoson Barracuda Swim Team.This program has downloadable forms, but unfortunately we can not accept registration for this program on line.  Please Review the 2021 Season Information. Poquoson Pool will be open on Weekends: Saturdays 12-6 & Sundays 1-6.  Full daily operations will begin June 16.

Please click here for all Pool Fees and Rates. Pool Passes can be purchased at both the Parks and Recreation Office as well as the Poquoson Pool.  Cash, Check or Credit Card Excepted. Only Visa or Mastercard. Service Fees will apply. Pool Season Passes as well as Daily Admission at the gate is an option.                                         2021 Pool Information

5. Swimming Lessons at Poquoson Pool

Lessons Registration will open for residents to register on Tuesday, June 1. You will be able to do this in person at the Community Recreation Office . Please remember You are only able to register for one session at a time.

Non-residents May begin registration beginning on June 8.

2021 Swimming Lessons Information

Poquoson Pool is hiring Lifeguards:  Download an application here and return it to


(This course will allow you to apply for your concealed carry permit in Virginia)Learn firearms safety, law and familiarization of handguns and ammunition, how to handle a weapon safely, and laws regarding use of firearms in self-defense. This one evening course will cover many do’s and don’ts for carrying a weapon for self-defense.  As part of the course those students who wish to later apply for a concealed handgun permit may take a written test, and upon successful completion of the test,  a certificate will be provided that will allow them to apply for a Virginia Concealed Weapons Permit with the local court. No gun ownership required.   If you have a gun do not bring it to class until the instructor instructs you to do so. Class open to anyone age 21 or older. This course meets one evening.    Time: 6-9pm.  Location: Municipal Building  Cost per student: $55 residents/$65 non-residents.  Each course limited to 6 students.
