Summer Camps- So much to do! So much fun!

Each Summer the department of Community Recreation offers a variety of summer camp programs from Sports Camps, Sailing programs, science and hands on fun, to include cooking and more. Each Spring our annual camp guide is released to include all of the summer fun in Poquoson

Summer fun is nearly complete, The following programs remain with spaces available.


August 19-23  Times based on age group.Time: 9am-12pm Ages 5-8    Time: 1pm-4pm Ages 9-13  Instructor: Holly Horton    Location: Odd Rd. Community Center  Through the processes of experimenting and working with clay, fabric, wood, metal, and paper, students will learn fundamental sculpting techniques, and make projects using their understanding of three-dimensional art making.Fee: $116 residents/$126 non-residents   Deadline: August 12Program: #404   5-8 ages    Program: #405  9-13 ages

Camp Cookies & Brownies

  Instructor: Maryann Boho  August 12, 13, 15 & 16,no class 8/14   Ages 7-13     Time: 2-5pm    Location: Municipal Building   Campers make a variety of cookies & brownies.Learn how to make buttercream icing & a poured cookie icing, color the icing  while baking cookies and brownies. Included in the instruction is recipe reading and measuring for cooking. Take home lots of products from your daily time in our cookie bakery.Please note any food allergies with registration. Long hair must be up and please bring an apron/or hand towel, water bottle and a snack to camp each day. Bring 2 large airtight containers or 2 large cookie sheets. Fee: $125 residents/ $135non-residents   Deadline: August 1Program: #421
