As our daily lives are filled with more indoor time, there are many ways to stay healthy and active, and The City of Poquoson Office of Community Recreation invites you to enjoy and participate in these many resources that may help you during this time. The City of Poquoson does not endorse, collect payment on behalf, or receive funds for listing any of these third party sites or services listed here, but simply wishes to assist you in having some recreation that will keep you active and living well. For All Ages Outside
Enjoy a walk, on a trail in the City. We have several easily accessible options.
Oxford Run Trail (Enter at City Hall and Parking in the rear of City Hall. Map Here
Poquoson Municipal Park Trail- Trail Runs from Poquoson Municipal Park to Poquoson High School. 16 Municipal Dr.
South Lawson Park Walking Path This is a gravel path around soccer fields and pond. Located at 1238 Poquoson Avenue
Just remember social distancing in an effort to limit exposures to you and others.
Enjoy the Tennis Courts in Phillips Park- near Poquoson High School
Fly A kite at Messick Point- the large hill is a great spot with a view and plenty of wind.
Remember: Watch for power lines always when flying a kite at any location.
Kick a ball, or play a game using our open fields at Phillips Park, or South Lawson Park, remember no groups.
