Poquoson Business Assistance Grant:
The City of Poquoson, in an effort to assist small businesses during the pandemic, is applying for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. This grant, if awarded, will provide funding to help small businesses defray the cost of State mandated requirements in the reopening process. The City of Poquoson is requesting $150,000 from the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (VDHCD) to assist small businesses in these challenging times. If awarded, Poquoson will make available individual grants to small businesses up to $5,000. These funds must be a reimbursement of actual expenditures that the small business incurred following the State reopening requirements.
